Well, 20 years ago, i attended the first harmonic convergence thing a majiggy.  Then i read  all that Jose Arguelles wrote about 2012 and the mayan calender and then i went thru hell and high water for 20 years, landed on my feet and attended a workshop by Rainbow Eagle, who talked about the Mayan Calender and his interpretation.  Well, he didn't tell me anything new, so i thought, "let's do a search" and here you all were.  I certainly hope you all are talking about the 2012 stargate that is attached to the Mayan calender , etc.  hahahha.  Wouldn't that be a hoot if none of you knew what i was talking ab out.   :drunken_smilie:

I found a link to this forum at the Rigorous Intuition blog(http://rigint.blogspot.com/ ), in the comments. Specifically a comment made by 'Summer Wine'/'Movie Girl.' What piqued my interest was that she mentioned that a "lot of lost Etemenankians were here at this forum. I used to spend a lot of time there too(lurking/reading), so I figured I'd check this place out.  :afro:

I found this forum via a person, who was a good friend.  She always kept a few of us together, ya know the kind of person who is real organized and just on top of things for the sake of the ALL.  She is very intelligent and caring, though sometimes a bit extreme in emotion.  Perfect in terms of a woman, since that is what makes a woman so beautiful = her ability to connect with the force of life and share it in creating another human form for a soul to encapsulate and live this 3D world out for another screen shot in what is sometimes called time.  Do you have 'time?  I hope so....

It's being 7 months now, after my wisdom grows that I decided to be part of what I personaly considered as Universal Community (means to be able to understand beyond normal understanding). I myself bound to Christianity through Bible, the most Universal Book of Knowledge. During the long strech of finding the truth, with the combinaton of others - Mayan, Nostradamus, Edgar C, Albert Einstein, Hopi Indian, I Ching, Zecharia Sitchin; there is No Way we can limit our mind to certain extent only!

A moment of serendipity in a online search for left brain functions somehow led me here!   :afro:

I went to a talk on 2012 by Geoff Stray and he recommended this message board to the one who organised the venue, who in turn sent me the link :)

Hmmm, I don't remember exactly how I found this site, but I know I found it a long time before actually becoming a member.  There were registration issues, but finally there came a day when I could join.  and that worked for me.

I probably found it doing 2012 searches two (maybe 3) years ago for a unit I was putting together for students who kept asking me if I thought the world was really going to end.  Anyway, what kept me coming back were the posts gave me good food for thought.  I didn't like the survival sites, or the lizzard people sites, or the doomsday sites, but this one always has something interesting to read and ponder.

So, now the longer intro.First I'd like to state that the wife & I both already like the way the info & subjects are arranged in this forum & that it's got a good vibe about it (the forum) that I don't usually pick up for a week or so at least-if ever, so I'm sure we'll have some informative & colourful conversations with the other forum users. I guess that the easiest way for you guys to work out where we're coming from is if I give a little bit of background info. concerning our own background. We're a couple of enviro scientists/survivalists who've been researching the whole 2012 thing for about 12 months or so & have come to the conclusion that there's just a bit too much info, (freely available to those prepared to look) that says that there is at least a chance that at least one (if not more) of the prophesiesed nasty events, may happen. Unlikely? Yes Impossible?  No & as a scientist I've got to say that certain disciplines (including current physics), even state that some unusual scenarios (excessive solar flares & possibly several magnetic pole shifts are "likely to occur as earth traverses the densest parts of the Galactic Centre"(NASA ). So we're into sussing out certain types of info & trying to/wandering just quite how to, survive in a reasonable manner if things do turn savage. I won't bother trying to say Hi individually to all those people on this post, especially since I don't know you yet but look forward to meeting all you people & talking about all sorts of stuff. Now I'm off to suss out some of the cool info in the forum so,

I am new to the "internet /forum" world.  I was living up in Alaska for quite a while and did not stay connected to TV or internet.  I was connected to radio and listen to Coast to Coast like a religion.
"Talk radio" became my information world. 

I love Coast to Coast Am.. My X- partner and I would have Coast to Coast going all night long. They Play the  show back to back all night there.  If we lived where we could not receive the station in a building we would be able to receive it in the Work Van. So we would be up late at night (much of the night) in the Van... heater cranked,...snow coming down.. listening to the shows.. It was like watching a movie of the world in our minds from a remote world..

Those 7 years of Coast To Coast AM is what really got  me into a whole new world of ideas...and jump-stared my growth. 

I now stream-link that show on my computer.  Where I live now we can get any radio signal except BBC.

We get internet via satellite...

I just started going to forums last Sept.  I met Val on one of those forums.  She inspired me to visit here, knowing what interests I have.

So Hi Ya Daydreamer, I'm FISH, I come from nthrn Australia ( in the wet tropics, 3-6 m. of rainfall a year). I'm married with 2 tin lids & the wife & I are both enviro scientists. We're all keen fisherpeople & I guess that overall, except for unexpected catastrophies like cyclone Larry (cat 5 & we were right at the centre of the system, my boy & I even walked around checking things out as the eye passed over us) & some sometimes very hot weather, we love it. Anyway mate, just touching base to say Hello, I'm sure we'll talk more later.

My family and I almost moved to Perth many years ago. 
We had a very good friend and his family come to Canada in the 80's.  They were from Perth.
He was a builder and after a few years in Canada they wanted to move back to Perth and wanted us to move with them.. We didn't. I really wanted to.. I was ready for a big change.. But it never happened.. :-\

I live in a rain forest too... I will find out how many inches.. or meters of rain there is here..
